Materials & Craftsmanship
Every Canyon Crest Woodworks piece begins with solid American black walnut.
No two boards share the same grain, color, or character. Variations in tone, figure, and engraving depth are natural and expected. Laser engraving on walnut is as much art as science, and the organic structure of the wood often produces beautifully unpredictable results.
These variations are not defects. They are part of what makes every piece unique.
Each object is shaped, engraved, and finished by hand in the Canyon Crest workshop in Mission Viejo, California.
Production Time
Because every piece is individually made, please allow 2–4 weeks for completion before shipment.
Many orders ship sooner depending on the current workshop schedule.
The Sentinel Series
The Sentinel is the signature artifact of Canyon Crest Woodworks.
Each Sentinel is carved from solid walnut and created to represent a culture, story, or community. Some pieces originate as private commissions for clubs and organizations, while others become part of the ongoing Sentinel collection.
Commissions & Fundraising Editions
Many Sentinel pieces are created for organizations, clubs, and collectors.
These commissions often incorporate insignia, historic imagery, or symbolic elements tied to a group’s identity.
Limited fundraising editions are occasionally produced for organizations seeking a meaningful commemorative object or an auction centerpiece.
